The Vincent Family - Should be Gap Models!!

This past Sunday, I shot (I have to be careful how I use that term), the Vincent family in OOB (for all you non-mainers...Old Orchard Beach).  Justin, Jill & Jackson met me at the pier, where we shot some family portraits.  We then took off to a playground to get some candids of Jackson.  I just have to say that sometimes kids aren't the easiest to smile, but I swear they must work with him at home.  He would smile on queue!  Thank You Justin, Jill & Jackson!  Hopefully this Spring will do some pregnancy photos!

Jackson loved the slide!  Great smile this kid!

Thank You guys again!  It was great seeing you.

Jen & Kara Drouin...Sisterly Love

Growing up, I only had one brother...we fought like cats and dogs....  Well really I beat him up, and he would do as any "good" man would do, never hit me!  I always wished for a sister.  A sister to share secrets, clothes, laughs and lots of love.  Not that my brother and I don't love each other, but its not like what I have with my two best friends...(You know who you are)...oh and Thank You Giana for letting me borrow your sisters, as my sisters.

Okay, so back to my point.  Yesterday I shot Jen and Kara Drouin.  The day was FREEZING...lots of wind, but these sisters GOT IT DONE!  I believe Jen said "Is this what models go through?"...yes, Jen...we'll call you Elle McPherson....

Here are some of my favorite shots of the day, love you ladies.  You were great to work with!

11-13-2010 The Fortin Family

It seems that when it rains it pours...in all aspects of my life.  If you know me personally, then you'll get what I mean as far as my love life, but also when it comes to photography.  I've been very fortunate to have a ton of friends that believe in my talents and for that I am EXTREMELY grateful.

I used to work with Mary Fortin, who is as fun as she is beautiful.  Well anyways, enough about Mare, just kidding love you!  We've stayed in touch, and actually got to do a little boating with them this summer.  Tony and Mary have a 1 year old boy, Grayson.  He has these beautiful blue eyes, just like his father.  They asked me to take the family photos this year, and actually was completely honored to do so.  (Ummm Mary has amazing taste, so I guess that's a bit of a compliment).

I've been asked to shoot many family portraits this fall, and so they were able to double up yesterday, and shoot at Pineland.  Here are some of the photos, although I do have to say, it turned into a Grayson session, more than a family session.  I can't help it, love to photograph kids!

Oh check out Grayson's $hit kickers!  Love a guy with boots :-)

Enjoy!

11-13-2010 The Mitsin Ladies Photo Shoot

Years ago, I went up to Pineland Farms in New Glouster for a friend's daughter's 3rd birthday.  I had never been there, so I was pleasantly surprised by the scenery it had.  To me it's been like a secret no one has told until recently.  As a result of that day, I had always wanted to take photos there, so when Jess agreed to this place, I was totally ecstatic!

The weather was gorgeous, not to mention my subjects too!  I have to tell you, I've never met a 5 year old who could pose like a 30 year old.  She's a natural and has a bright future in modeling ahead of her.  Oh and she pouted like one of our mutual friends...she knows who she is... KT...  You've taught Taylor well!

Here are some of the photos from that day.

11-04-2010 McBride's Pregnancy Photos

My friends, Andrea and Keith McBride were expecting their first child!  I offered to take the pregnancy photos, so off I bounded to Gorham, to their new beautiful house.  In tow, my trusty sidekick...Giana, et al.  (Elliot, Geneve & Sylar too!)

So we moved some furniture around, and set up the makeshift studio in their bedroom.  Keith couldn't quite understand why we were doing all of this rearranging, but in the following photos he'll soon figure it out.  Oh, not to mention Giana and I remade the bed, and flipped the comforter...   Well anyways, the photos came out beautiful, not to mention Andrea was all belly!  Did I mention I love pregnant women?!

Congrats to the McBrides  on Tessa Rose!  Oh she arrived Tuesday morning, November 9th.  And she's stunning!  Trust me, that's a huge compliment from me considering some newborns aren't always pretty!

Here are some of the photos....enjoy!

The Rodgers Family Portraits 10-31-2010

Seems its been a while since I posted something, so here goes.

As a referal from a friend, I was booked to shoot the Rodgers family photos.  The kicker was, their oldest son was going to be home from Florida for Halloween weekend, and we had to do it then.  She wanted beach photos with rocks and scenary.  So I met the whole clan out at Higgins Beach, which was great this time of year.  We hit low tide and not a soul around!  Unfortunately, Maine has finally started to feel like fall, and it started on Halloween!

Here are some of my favorite shots of the session...enjoy!

Oktoberfest Party at the Fortin's

Headed up to the self proclaimed Mansion in Minot, had my Woodchuck Hard Cider packed in my cooler, and my donation of food ready to go!  Finally the cool Fall weather had arrived, and it was definitely cooler up on the hill, so I broke out my scarf...yes finally scarf weather!  Okay enough about me, onto the party!

Here are some shots from the event with the sunsetting in the background.  Thank you Mary & Tony for your hospitality!

Ramage - Higgins Engagement Session

So two of my friends gave me a great opportunity to help me work on my portfolio.  So I bombed up the road in my little Jeep, sipping an Caramel Way Espresso from Java Joes...rough previous night...that's another blog!  Good day for shooting..not too warm, overcast, and no time restraints!  Perfect, I can capture the shots that I want, and do a lot of learning on the way.  Well, it did stay overcast, but it quickly heated up...or maybe I just heated up!

Chris and Susie...you were awesome to work with.  Such naturals!  And who said Chris would be shy!?!?  Loved the fierce looking in Susie's eyes...they could cut right through you.

Thanks for amusing me, and being ever so patient.  Here are some shots below!

Loved this one!!

The Morin's Get Hitched!

Ever been to a wedding where it was painful to be at?  Where no one danced, and you just kind of sat across the table and looked at total strangers and thought to yourself..."How soon can I make my discrete escape?!"...Yeah..well this wedding was not like that!  What a fun group to photograph!  The couple were so happy, and to witness a wedding where you know that they were mean to be together, makes the day even more special.  Note to readers... if you have a guest that does the "worm" across the dance floor....you can consider the wedding a hit at that point!  I'm pretty sure everyone had fun.

Here are some quick photos.

The Tuzmen's Tie the Knot!

Congratulations to two of my coworkers, Katie & Ozan Tuzmen.  We ventured out to Portland Headlight this afternoon, windy afternoon I might add, for a little ceremony of the vows of Katie and Ozan.

Now, I work with these people everyday, and Katie always looks great, (I would too if I was thin and could walk in 4 inch heels like they were sneakers), and Ozan is always fashion forward with his manly pink shade polo shirts (thanks to his blushing bride), but this couple looked ABSOLUTELY stunning!!  Loved her dress, so delicate and femine!  Ozan looked dashing in his suit, with a yellow tie to compliment Katie's offwhite dress.

Everyone was so happy, even Mia!  Congrats to Katie & Ozan!  Many years of happiness!  Thank you for letting my mom and I share the occasion with you!

Such a beautiful bride!  Love the red accents!

Love the laughing!

Now introducing, Mr. & Mrs. Ozan Tuzmen!

Nick Penna Take 2

Friday night I finished up Nick Penna's Senior Portraits.  It's nice to see that there are some high school kids out there who have grown into good people!

Nick wanted to take some shots around his family's home.  He first said "They (pretty sure he meant "they" being his mom and sister) wanted to use the rockwall.  So we ventured over that way, and well, the only nice part of the rockwall was the flowers growing (very pretty I might add), and he turned to me and said "They are kind of gay"....okay if this was a female subject, the flowers would be fine to use, but Nick being male, and manly and all I agreed with him!

Thank you for allowing me to shoot your senior portraits!  Oh, and thanks for letting me exploit your handsome face for my portfolio.  Here are some shots from the second session.

There's a picture of Nick on a Kobota tractor to go along with this pose!
