Ramage - Higgins Engagement Session

So two of my friends gave me a great opportunity to help me work on my portfolio.  So I bombed up the road in my little Jeep, sipping an Caramel Way Espresso from Java Joes...rough previous night...that's another blog!  Good day for shooting..not too warm, overcast, and no time restraints!  Perfect, I can capture the shots that I want, and do a lot of learning on the way.  Well, it did stay overcast, but it quickly heated up...or maybe I just heated up!

Chris and Susie...you were awesome to work with.  Such naturals!  And who said Chris would be shy!?!?  Loved the fierce looking in Susie's eyes...they could cut right through you.

Thanks for amusing me, and being ever so patient.  Here are some shots below!

Loved this one!!

The Morin's Get Hitched!

Ever been to a wedding where it was painful to be at?  Where no one danced, and you just kind of sat across the table and looked at total strangers and thought to yourself..."How soon can I make my discrete escape?!"...Yeah..well this wedding was not like that!  What a fun group to photograph!  The couple were so happy, and to witness a wedding where you know that they were mean to be together, makes the day even more special.  Note to readers... if you have a guest that does the "worm" across the dance floor....you can consider the wedding a hit at that point!  I'm pretty sure everyone had fun.

Here are some quick photos.

The Tuzmen's Tie the Knot!

Congratulations to two of my coworkers, Katie & Ozan Tuzmen.  We ventured out to Portland Headlight this afternoon, windy afternoon I might add, for a little ceremony of the vows of Katie and Ozan.

Now, I work with these people everyday, and Katie always looks great, (I would too if I was thin and could walk in 4 inch heels like they were sneakers), and Ozan is always fashion forward with his manly pink shade polo shirts (thanks to his blushing bride), but this couple looked ABSOLUTELY stunning!!  Loved her dress, so delicate and femine!  Ozan looked dashing in his suit, with a yellow tie to compliment Katie's offwhite dress.

Everyone was so happy, even Mia!  Congrats to Katie & Ozan!  Many years of happiness!  Thank you for letting my mom and I share the occasion with you!

Such a beautiful bride!  Love the red accents!

Love the laughing!

Now introducing, Mr. & Mrs. Ozan Tuzmen!

Nick Penna Take 2

Friday night I finished up Nick Penna's Senior Portraits.  It's nice to see that there are some high school kids out there who have grown into good people!

Nick wanted to take some shots around his family's home.  He first said "They (pretty sure he meant "they" being his mom and sister) wanted to use the rockwall.  So we ventured over that way, and well, the only nice part of the rockwall was the flowers growing (very pretty I might add), and he turned to me and said "They are kind of gay"....okay if this was a female subject, the flowers would be fine to use, but Nick being male, and manly and all I agreed with him!

Thank you for allowing me to shoot your senior portraits!  Oh, and thanks for letting me exploit your handsome face for my portfolio.  Here are some shots from the second session.

There's a picture of Nick on a Kobota tractor to go along with this pose!

Labor Day Cookout at the Storey's

So the Cookout Crew was at it again.  The party-goers gathered at the Storey household, where there was TONS AND TONS  of food, some "adult" beverages and Bocci ball.  Congrats to Nadia & Josh on their wedding anniversary!  Still one of my most favorite couples, and one of the best weddings ever attended!

Giana made and decorated this cake.  What am amazing talent!
So Sasha, wanted to stay "green", so she saved her fork from dinner for dessert!  She was dying to get into that cake, and quite frankly, I was too.  Girl after my own heart!  Love you Sash!

This is probably one of the coolest photos I've ever taken.  It seems like something out of Fantastic Four.  Do you see the Bocci ball on the right hand side?  Kind of ghost like!

Johnson 50th Wedding Anniversary

My coworker, Cathy, hired me for just an hour to snap some candids, and maybe grab some quick family portraits, nothing fancy.  Beautiful day for a low-key party!  Thank you to the Johnson family for being so hospitable, and not being camera shy at all!  Here are some shots from the day!
The tent had huge sunflowers at every post.  Nice touch!  It is the Golden Anniversary afterall :-).

All the grandkids!
So after we took a serious picture of the whole family, the Matriarch of the family says
"Okay, now everyone make a funny face!"...Love it!!

Congrats on 50 years!  Huge milestone, and there's something to be said for that!  Here's to 50 more!
